Andrew Quinn
Andrew was born and brought up in Northern Ireland, before moving to Scotland for university in 1992. Following university he moved straight into audiology, and qualified as a Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser in 1998.

In 2013 he took a career break, and spent a couple of years living in Nashville, TN, before returning to Scotland, where he worked for a while as a barista, a piano teacher, and operations coordinator for his local church.

In 2022 he launched qb earcare – an ear wax removal service in Portobello, Edinburgh, and set up Borders Hearing Care with Shona Jackson in 2023.

Andrew has greatly enjoyed working locally in Portobello for the last few years, and is excited to be able to provide a fuller audiology service locally, as well as getting to commute along the Prom!​​
Catherine Marshall

Catherine joined us in 2026. She was born and raised in Edinburgh, and has worked in Portobello for over a decade.
She has experience in a variety of different jobs within the healthcare sector, starting as a carer before working as a pharmacy dispenser and then a medical receptionist and phlebotomist.

Catherine has a bubbly, positive attitude and is passionate about helping others. She is a friendly face at the clinic to greet you and help with any queries or questions that you may have. She’s excited to join the Portobello Hearing Care team!​
Shona Jackson

Shona has lived her whole life in the Scottish Borders, with a long career locally in hearing healthcare.
​
Together with Andrew she started Borders Hearing Care in Galashiels in 2023, and will continue to work there in the main, but will be available for consultations in Portobello from time to time as well.
